- Which government exams does placd cover?
- Live today: GATE (ME, CE, EE, EC, CH, CS), UPSC ESE (ME, CE, EE, E&T), SSC JE (ME, CE, EE), RRB JE, ISRO/DRDO Scientist-Engineer SC, IBPS SO IT Officer and UGC NET Computer Science. TNPSC Group 4 and 2/2A, SSC CGL and IBPS PO/Clerk are on the roadmap.
- Are the practice papers actual previous-year question papers?
- No. placd's year-wise sets are original pattern sets, authored to each year's real paper distribution — the same section split, question types (MCQ, MSQ, NAT), mark weighting and duration — with our own detailed solutions. Exact past-paper text is not reproduced.
- How is a GATE pattern set scored?
- Exactly as GATE scores: 1- and 2-mark questions, one-third and two-thirds negative marking on wrong MCQs, no negative marking on MSQ or NAT, and MSQ awarded only for the exact set of correct options.
- How do I know the dates and eligibility here are right?
- Every date and eligibility line on placd is read from the conducting body's own website or notification PDF, shows the date it was last verified, and links straight back to that page. If a field could not be verified it says 'not announced yet' rather than guessing.
- Can I apply through placd?
- No. placd never hosts an application form. Each exam links to the official site to apply; placd is where you prepare — subject banks, exam-pattern sets, a free 25-question sample per exam, and a board-style mock interview.
- Is there interview preparation for PSUs?
- Yes. GATE-route PSU selection boards are simulated by a three-member-board AI mock interview that probes fundamentals, your final-year project and public-service motivation, and scores you at the end.
